One key trend to wear this season is ruffles. They were seen on the catwalk at Roberto Cavalli, Chanel, Gucci, Givenchy and many more.
Here are three looks to try:
EVENING LOOK
Dress – A striking Gucci embellished teal and lavender wool-blend mini dress with ruffled sleeves. It’s adorned with faux pearls, beads and crystals to look like layered necklaces.
Shoes – These embellished ’80s inspired Miu Miu pumps come in gorgeous baby-pink satin. Decorated with sparkling crystals, polished silver studs and faux pearls; they are a perfect match with this dress.
Clutch – Olympia Le-Tan’s Little Miss Lucky appliquéd cotton-faille clutch is a must-have clutch. It’s hand-appliquéd and finished with a structured gold frame.
STREET SAVVY
Jumper – We love this ’80s striped Philosophy Di Lorenzo Serafini one-shoulder ruffled mohair-blend jumper. The cascading ruffle emphasises the chic one-shoulder silhouette.
Skirt – A sophisticated asymmetric ruffled, leather, pencil skirt. It compliments most day or evening looks.
Bag – An adorable mini bow cut shoulder bag in studded black leather. It’s a design the brand describes as “graphic, stylish and Parisian.” You can detach the silver chain shoulder strap to carry it as a clutch.
Boots – Flattering cut Gianvito Rossi’s ankle boots. They’re hand-finished from velvety black suede and have a supple sand leather lining.
OFFICE STYLE
Blouse – A versatile Ellery white ruffled cotton-poplin blouse is great for the office of weekends. It has dramatically flared sleeves and languid neck ties. Style it with tailored kick-flares for a contemporary take on suiting.
Trousers – These Goen.J contemporary, tailored, kick-flares are crafted from black wool for a flattering, slim fit. This cropped pair is trimmed with the label’s signature ruffles at the hem.
Mules – Stylish, ruffled nubuck-trimmed velvet mules. They’re set on a quilted conical heel and have an internal platform for a comfortable lift.
