Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Roger Vivier has released the latest additions to the house’s “I Love Vivier” collection.
For Spring/Summer 2024, Creative Director Gherardo Felloni has reimagined the shoe with a new latticework leather construction with a slingback and stiletto heel.
Meanwhile, other pieces in the collection include a fabulous patent cut-away sandal and pumps in both soft suede and bright red strass.
In the notes which accompanied the new collection, the house said the “colours of love [are] so often present in Monsieur Vivier’s historical designs…The ‘I Love Vivier’ pump is the ultimate House expression of this ideal…creations echo the romantic elegance of this boldly feminine spirit.”
Italian designer Gherardo Felloni joined Roger Vivier in March 2018, bringing his vast and unique experience to the Parisian luxury accessories maison.
The Roger Vivier house has its roots in the show world of 1930s Paris when the eponymous founder began designing shoes for the Moulin Rouge. Fast-forward to the 1950s and the designer created the world’s first stiletto heel, becoming known for footwear that was considered a work of art.
