The latest Lanvin handbag is a testimony of the affection between Jeanne Lanvin and her daughter Marguerite. The creative team wanted to express a sense of endearment, gratitude and sentiment for the history of the House.

The name Jiji was an adoring and charming nickname for the founder of Lanvin and French haute couture fashion designer used by those that knew her well. For more than 125 years, the patrimony of Jeanne Lanvin is reinterpreted in all the designs that followed suit. Her style, her passion for art, her strong sense of detail and her unconditional love for her daughter are all blended to create each Lanvin design.

For the SS16 pre-collection, the House has created a bag dedicated to her. Each part of this bag from its inspiration, its style, to the construction and leathers is chosen by the creative team to make sure the essence of Lanvin is perfectly reflected.

The Jiji bag is made with luxurious leather, expertly handcrafted and stitched, complimented by signature gold hardware and adorned with a unique turn lock closure. The bag contains three generous compartments and one zipped interior pocket.  The Jiji can be worn with a short strap, resting at the hip or at full length and worn cross body.  The beautiful piece was designed in Paris and made in Italy.
