Tod’s Shares a Unique Look Inside Its Journey of Craftsmanship and Design

Tod’s presented a virtual journey into the reality of its Headquarters as part of Milan Digital Fashion Week today.

 

“Inside Tod’s Studio” saw the Italian house open the doors of its HQ in Brancadoro in the iconic Le Marche region of Italy to give viewers a glimpse inside its world of design and creativity.

 

 

The story begins at the initial concept of Tod’s designs and takes viewers through the process of creation to the final phase, focusing on the Spring 2021 Pre-Collections which will be launched in December. This fascinating story gives a glimpse into the beauty of the craftsmanship that goes into every single piece made.

The camera follows Creative Director Walter Chiapponi as he walks through the Tod’s Headquarters, passing by the design studios, research departments and workshops, into the heart of the company and its people. Viewers discover the spaces where the ready-to-wear and accessories are made from the very first stages through to the finished product.

 

 

Viewers can see moodboards, prototypes and designs, offering an exclusive look at the creation of the Spring 2021 Pre-Collections for men and women.

 

 

Walter Chiapponi explains how the collection was created and what inspired him, before leading the viewer into the universe of craftsmanship as we explore the finest hides, machinery, moulds and coloured yarns that are used to create Tod’s iconic products.

 

 

The close-up details and stages of craftsmanship lead to the final scene: the photoshoot where we see Italian models Edoardo Sebastianelli, Alessandro Fella and Matilde Buoso wearing pieces from the collection.

 

 

This unique video allows the world to get a never-seen-before insight into the world of Tod’s, discovering the unique craftsmanship and passion that goes into each of Tod’s designs.

 

 

The Spring Pre-Collections will be available in Tod’s stores from December 2020.
