Loro Piana is celebrating the unveiling of their new store in Dubai with an art installation that pays tribute to the Italian brands finest textiles.
Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Lateefa bint Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Founder and Director of Tashkeel, Loro Piana – a brand known for luxury cashmere and wool products – is set to open its doors in the Dubai Mall next month.
To mark this occasion, from November 8 to November 10, multi-sensorial installation by Arabic calligraphy artist eL Seed will be stationed at the Dubai opera sky garden. The piece was inspired by an ancient poem written by King Alfonso X, the enlightened, cosmopolitan ruler of thirteenth century Spain who played a pivotal role in the history of merino wool: The Gift of Kings®, both then and now.
Working closely with leading wool growers in Australia and New Zealand for many years, Loro Piana encourages and incentivises the production of this ever finer fibre. Visitors to the installation will have the opportunity to appreciate this one-of-a-kind treasure and experience the natural wonders of the world’s most beautiful wool.
