Stella McCartney has unveiled a charitable initiative Stella McCartney Cares that is dedicated to the prevention, early detection and treatment of breast cancer through awareness and support.

The UK-based charity is close to the designer’s heart as her mother Linda McCartney died from the disease in 1998. Officially launching in November, it will work with hospitals, charities and support centers devoted to breast cancer.

Since 2014, McCartney has contributed to Breast Cancer Awareness by creating global campaigns that provide vital information and resources, while donating proceeds from product featured to leading support centers and charities worldwide. The Stella Cares is the next step in offering a more complete and comprehensive support through a dedicated platform.

Celebrating the launch of StellaMcCartneyCares.org, award-winning actor Idris Elba stars in the new campaign short film All is Love. Honest, confident and inspiring, it sheds light on the devastating disease, a cause very personal to both Idris and Stella.

Also, she is donating 1000 Louise Listening Bra bras free of charge to breast cancer sufferers. Made from super-soft cotton, it has a practical front zip fastening that allows for ease and reduces discomfort, while a wide underband and deep sides offer support without underwire. Incorporating feedback from the many women who have tested the bra, 2018’s design includes ultra-soft internal pockets for use with prosthesis, wide, adjustable straps, and an extended size range of S – XL.
