A German Landmark: The Villa Stéphanie at the Brenners Park – Hotel & Spa In Baden-Baden

  |   26-08-2015

“Brenners”, as the grand hotel is affectionately referred to by its guests, has for 140 years stood for the lavish grand hotel concept and total commitment to its guests. Today, the hotel presents itself as a beautiful, urban oasis set amidst enchanting parkland. A harmonic combination of elegance, tradition and innovative future concepts are the hallmarks of this grand hotel on the Lichtentaler Allee.

“Urban life in the countryside” is the promise of picturesque Baden-Baden with its unique, complex and highly appealing surroundings evoking an aura that rarely escapes any visitor. The Black Forest town is also far from lacking the necessary credentials located in what is one of Germany and Europe’s most prized geographical locations. Baden-Baden cemented its reputation as a cultural centre back in the 19th century. Today this tradition is as strong as ever with Germany’s largest concert hall, the Iffezheim racecourse and the Belle Époque style casino together with the town’s symbiosis of health offers, its closeness to nature and its programme of internationally renowned cultural events.

Brenners Spa is the centrepiece of Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa where the hotel’s guiding principle of “Lifestyle. At one with nature” is demonstrated in the most impressive of ways. Brenners Beauty Spa featuring the product lines: Futuresse, Sisley, Niance, Anika Organic Luxury and its own care line “Brenners Park-Hotel – Spirit of Jaipur” offers beauty and physio spa services à la carte. In the Spa Suite, the spa within a spa, hotel guests are able to relax in an exclusive environment. Brenners Medical Care is on hand as your competent partner for health and wellbeing.

In addition to this, Brenners is home to one of the most striking indoor bathing facilities among Europe’s elite hotels: the Roman style swimming pool built in 1975 with an open design fronting onto the hotel gardens. Professor Cäsar Pinnau, who for 50 years designed all the buildings and ships for the Oetker family, was given a free hand to allow his artistic fantasies to flow. Contrary to most other architects of his time, Cäsar Pinnau reverted to stylistic elements from classical antiquity. Having undergone extensive renovation work in 2012, the facility now once again shines with new splendour.

The opening of the Villa Stéphanie in the first quarter of 2014 marked the completion of the most comprehensive renovation project of the past 20 years. Featuring a design that has been perfected in terms of space and content, the hotel’s successful concept of proactive health management will continue to be rigorously pursued in this new facility. Combined too with a new, holistic health concept it will result in the beauty and medical services being harmonized in their own very special way. With over 5,000 sq m of space, the Villa Stéphanie houses 15 elegant rooms and suites and a state-of-the-art spa with connecting medical spa.

Standards are also being set by Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa in terms of the quality of its cuisine; all restaurants serving Brenners cuisine come under the responsibility of Executive Chef Rudolf Pellkofer. In the light and airy Wintergarten, for instance, with its 40 covers overlooking the hotel’s park and the famous Lichtentaler Allee, the cuisine is classic with Mediterranean accents.

The Brenners collection of restaurants is completed by the Rive Gauche located at the heart of the tree-lined Lichtentaler Allee in the LA8 Arts Centre. Diners here are presented with a cuisine focusing on ‘southern aromas’. In August 2012, Paul Stradner was appointed head chef of the renowned Brenners Park Restaurant. More than 10 years of professional experience in Europe’s top restaurants has paved his career path to date. Paul Stradner is proud of the fact that he has learnt from the best. In November 2012, he celebrated his first Michelin Guide star. The unique location of Brenners Park Restaurant, overlooking the hotel’s private park and directly adjacent to Germany’s prettiest boulevard, makes it an attraction for gourmets from all over the world.

Over the years, award upon award has been bestowed upon Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa. It came therefore as no great surprise that the“140-year-old grande dame” was listed in the Condé Nast Traveler magazine’s 2013 Gold List – the only hotel in Germany to have been listed 18 times in a row. Brenners Park Hotel & Spa has also once again made the Travel + Leisure’s 2013 “Top 500” thus ranking it among the best 500 international hotels.
