The Maldives is Open to Tourists – Here’s Where You Can Stay

Lindsay Judge   |   16-07-2020

As of 15th July 2020 The Maldives has reopened to tourists. The island nation in the Indian Ocean is inviting tourists back to its shores and it is possibly one of the safest places to visit in the world right now.

As of 16th July both Etihad and Emirates are flying to The Maldives from the UAE making it easy for you to travel directly to this paradise.

Visitors will not have to enter quarantine upon arrival at the Velana International Airport in the capital, Male or when travelling to remote islands. Nor will they need to produce proof they have tested negative for coronavirus.

The best way to visit the Maldives is by checking into a private resort – this will make your trip stress-free and will also be the safest way to set foot on the island. Some islands are accessible by boat and others by seaplane – both of which are usually organised by the resort, especially with the top-end hotels.

Here we discover some of the destinations that are open for business, offering you that much-needed vacation you’ve been dreaming of.
