As temperatures start to soar in Dubai, there are plenty of options to get some much-needed shade and refreshment while still being beach-side at the weekend. We’ve picked our favourite cafés near the beach where you can escape the midday glare and enjoy a delicious lunch at the same time!
Park House – Kite Beach
Park House is a home-grown Dubai brand, opening its first ever café at Kite Beach, Jumeirah. The space naturally conforms to its beach surroundings making it a perfect spot to grab one of their delicious coffees and have a late breakfast; favourites include their avocado toast and eggs benedict.
The Hamptons Café – Jumeirah Beach Road
The Hamptons Café is a small family owned business established in Dubai in 2014. The concept stems from the founder, Khalid Hussain’s desire to spread his love for delicious baked goods and great quality coffee to the local area. They have a breakfast and all day menu that stays true to Hamptonian traditions of hearty and simple cooking of natural ingredients to retain all the goodness and flavour of the food.
Surf House Dubai – Jumeirah Beach Road
For the more sporty amongst us, there’s the Surf House Café that has been providing a place for local surfers to hang out since 2005. The concept provides a home for all things surfing and stand-up paddling in the region, with a cool café included for people to gather, learn to surf or just live the surf lifestyle.
Comptoir 102 – Beach Road
Comptoir 102 is not only a café near the beach, but a concept store as well, combining eclectic fashion and homeware with its organic café. It provides a hidden gem away from the malls for shoppers looking for something a little different and a more original experience.
