The limited-edition collection translates two iconic Monogram canvases into contrasting colour stories for the eyes and lips.
La Beauté Louis Vuitton presents the first limited-edition collaboration between artistic director Nicolas Ghesquière and Dame Pat McGrath, creative director of cosmetics. The project builds on a creative relationship developed across more than two decades of Louis Vuitton runway shows, where McGrath’s beauty looks have helped complete the character and mood of each collection.
Celebrating the 130th anniversary of the Louis Vuitton Monogram, the collaboration is structured around two contrasting worlds: Monogram Dune and Monogram Infrarouge. Each interprets an established house canvas through colour, texture and finish.
Monogram Dune explores a softer palette inspired by shifting desert light. Its eyeshadow quartet moves between icy white, rose gold, metallic grey and anise with pink reflections. A warm rosy beige satin lipstick is joined by Stellar Veil, a transparent lip balm scattered with holographic shimmer.
Monogram Infrarouge offers the collection’s bolder counterpoint. Drawing on the canvas’s vivid red and deep black, its eyeshadow palette combines rosy beige, cool taupe, sparkling anthracite and velvety burgundy. The accompanying lipstick deepens the house’s signature red with black to create a rich blackcurrant shade, while the Galactic Veil balm introduces multidimensional glitter.
The dialogue continues through the packaging. Monogram Dune pairs matte off-white aluminium with warm rose gold hardware, while Infrarouge combines matte black with lacquered red details. The compacts contain recyclable refills, so they can be kept and replenished.
Coordinating small leather goods complete the collaboration, including lipstick pouches, mini vanity cases, brush sets and Monogram sleeves for blotting papers. Together, the pieces extend Louis Vuitton’s travel heritage into a beauty collection designed to be used, carried and collected.
