Jil Sander introduces Kante, a new bag collection by Simone Bellotti

Jil Sander has unveiled Kante, a new family of bags designed by creative director Simone Bellotti for the house’s Fall/Winter 2026 collection.

Rooted in the brand’s architectural codes, the designs explore the relationship between structure and fluidity, balancing sharp lines with sculptural curves.

Named after the German word for ‘edge’ or ‘corner’, Kante also pays subtle homage to the house’s German heritage. Its distinctive silhouette draws inspiration from Richard Prince’s Car Hoods series, building on a concept first explored during the Spring/Summer 2026 show.

The collection comprises three distinct styles. The Flap features a structured silhouette with pronounced edges, available in calfskin with a semi-shiny patent finish or soft airbrushed suede. The Shoulder style takes a more pared-back approach, with architectural lines and slender handles crafted in shiny lambskin. Completing the family, the spacious, unisex Tote is distinguished by sculptural three-dimensional edges and the same glossy lambskin construction.

Through Kante, Bellotti continues to explore the tension between restraint and abandon, translating the house’s minimalist sensibility into a contemporary accessories collection.
