ERDEM: About Time, About Her, the first major exhibition dedicated to the work of designer Erdem Moralioglu, has opened at M7 in Doha, Qatar, marking the fashion house’s twentieth anniversary with a presentation of 150 pieces spanning the label’s history and creative practice.

Presented by Qatar Museums in collaboration with ERDEM, the exhibition forms part of the Qatar Canada and Mexico 2026 Year of Culture. It brings together garments, sketches, personal ephemera and atelier materials, offering insight into the design process behind the British fashion house. These are displayed alongside paintings, sculptures and decorative objects from the collection of Doha’s Museum of Islamic Art, placing Moralioglu’s work in dialogue with historical and artistic references.

The exhibition explores the relationship between fashion, time and the women who inform its narratives, bringing together the house’s designs and the wider cultural influences that shape its visual language. By pairing contemporary fashion with works from the Museum of Islamic Art, the presentation situates ERDEM’s intricate approach to design within a broader artistic context.

The exhibition is part of Qatar Museums’ wider Qatar Creates Fall/Winter 2026–27 season, which brings together exhibitions and cultural programmes across Doha. It will remain on view at M7 until the 26th of December.

M7, Qatar’s hub for innovation and entrepreneurship in fashion and design, is also hosting two further exhibitions during the season. Around the World in Jewellery, presented in collaboration with L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts, features more than 500 jewels, artworks, photographs and sculptures drawn from Qatar Museums’ collections and international cultures. Meanwhile, Expanded Tradition. Contemporary Craft Practices in Mexico examines how a new generation of Mexican artisans is reinterpreting inherited materials and techniques for contemporary life.

Together, the three exhibitions highlight M7’s role in connecting international design practices with cultural heritage, with ERDEM’s anniversary presentation placing the work of Moralioglu at the centre of this season’s programme.
