Born and raised in Paris, Joanna Dahdah has an undeniable passion for jewellery. Joanna grew up creating string bracelets, and later started selling her own handmade bracelets to friends and family; only to realise her true love and appreciation for jewellery design. The young designer finally made a decision to pursue a degree in jewellery design at Central St.Martins and GIA in London.
Inspired by art and nature, Dahdah’s design aesthetic is to create original and feminine wearable pieces. After completing her studies, the Beirut-born gemologist has set up her eponymous brand in the United Kingdom, and opened her own concept store at the end of 2010 in Beirut; where she stocks her own designs alongside other designers such as Shaun Leane, Monica Vinader, Tomaz Donocik, and Carole Guez, from all around the world.
Eager to grow her jewellery business, the young designer recently developed two new multi-brand corners in Lebanon both found at ABC Dbayeh and Ashrafieh called The Corner by Joanna Dahdah. Today, not only a successful fine jeweller but has been selected as Europe’s most established jewellery brand as well for her concept store.
With over eight years of success, Joanna has already be featured across many famous publication titles, won the ‘Best Newcomer’ award at London Jewellery Week and has been placed on the ‘Hot 100’ list in the UK sponsored by Professional Jeweller.

Alberta Ferretti’s resort 2018 collection showed light and the beautiful side of Ferretti’s intricate work.
Inspired by the infamous 1984 film Passage to India, Ferretti introduced Indian references featuring violet madras, jungle prints and safari tailoring. She displayed her signature ethereal details with soft and impeccable fabrics. We saw the traditional sari dressing with a modern and light touch with a mix of silk madras and scarf prints, also simple shirt dresses and wrap skirts well-crafted in rich and vibrant hues of dark reds and green.
Ferretti broke up all the silk with layering and mature looks, and with sporty and structured kaki pieces. Prints were romantic and even the jungle motifs were also very playful yet elegant. .
As for the Italian designer’s signature gowns, she embroidered skin-coloured tulle and silk with sophisticated luch patterned prints.

Micro but major! These trends stole the spotlight on many runway shows and have gained a lot of hype amongst various retail stores in the following months. Yes, they are timeless with a twist but nothing is too flashy or hard to pull-off. From matching suit ensembles to vibrant knee-high boots, hyper-glossy leather, and more we have selected repeated trends, ones we are sure you’ll be wearing for the rest of this season.
So it is time to get comfortable with these new perspectives, and here’s our round up of five micro-trends that are most appropriate for fall.
Fashion-forward crowds are mixing up style rules from pairing crisp suits with classic white shirts to pop prints; this trend is pretty much up for experimentation. Yes, it’s not just for men, so ladies embrace the matchy-matchy look with a full suit set paired with platforms or stiletto boots for a chic twist.
We tend to see frills on blouses or dresses, but now this punk aesthetic detail has made its way down to pants! This asymmetrical fringed hemline is a complete nod to the good old ’90s, begging to be styled with a cozy neutral-toned sweater, lace-up pumps and versatile shades for a show-stopping look.
Nothing beats a good pair of statement boots that can be used to persuade a bold wintery look.
According to FW17 runways, the sleek vinyl is a big trend! So be on the lookout for mirror-like finish pieces, and preferably in jet-black. For a fresh fall classics update, opt for a glossy trench, skirt or hat.
Try going for moody or romantic floral prints in a feminine mini-dress or skirt. Also, dare to layer it with a leather moto-jacket and a pair of black sock boots to add an extra edge to your outfit.
