Christian Dior was famously passionate about the world of dance.
As an ode to ballet, this season Maria Grazia Chiuri has created the house’s “Dior Ballet ballerinas” as part of the Dior Cruise 2024 collection.
Distinguished by their feminine curves, the new footwear evokes the beauty of dance in name and silhouette.
Describing the new piece, the house said in a statement: “Like an ode to grace, these shoes combine elegance and comfort in quilted calfskin, on which the graphic lines of the iconic cannage are traced, in homage to the founding-couturier’s legacy.”
The new range is available in black or nude, including versions enhanced by a grosgrain bow.
A subtle affirmation of Dior style, a white resin pearl adorned with the initials “CD” adds an exceptional finishing touch to these models.
