Dior has launched the sixth edition of its Dior Lady Art project which sees artists from around the world reinterpret the iconic Lady Dior Bag.

Season after season this instantly recognisable accessory is reinvented in new ways by artists from around the world who merge their own art style and heritage with the codes of the bag to create exclusive works of art.

This year, one of the artists is a female Saudi artist, Manal Aldowayan, who revisited the bag with a special Arabic touch.

Also featured in the project this year are Gisela Colón, Johan Creten, Genieve Figgis, Gigisue, Antonin Hako, Zhang huan, Leonhard Hurzlmeier, Yukimasa Ida, Daisuke Ohba, Li Songsong and Lina Iris Vikto.

The artists were chosen from all corners of the globe and given complete carte blanche to showcase the artistic styles and techniques. Each detail was thought out with infinite meticulousness and is an ode to the uniqueness of each artist.

As a final touch, each of the twelve pieces is adorned with Dior charms reminiscent of the lucky talismans that the famously superstitious Monsieur Dior always had on him.

These artistic creations offer a bridge between the House of Dior and the cultures of the world through the eyes of expert craftsmen and women.
