Elie Saab invited guests into a spellbinding world of illusion and imagination with the unveiling of its Haute Couture Autumn/Winter 2027 collection, The Ball of Untamed Dreams.

Set against the backdrop of a mysterious masked ball, the collection explored transformation, with couture serving as a vehicle for fantasy and every look revealing a new identity.

Models emerged like enigmatic characters from a dream, wrapped in silhouettes that shifted between the ethereal and the theatrical. Opaline organza scattered with pearls recalled the soft clouds of René Magritte, while sculptural magenta silk fishtails unfurled like Salvador Dalí’s surreal roses.

Draped, twisted and expertly constructed fabrics transformed the body into organic forms, from elegant calla lilies to midnight swans and twilight skies. Iridescent colours heightened the sense of metamorphosis, with shades of lilac melting into silver and deep blue fading into a delicate blush as the garments caught the light.

Throughout the collection, Elie Saab balanced its unmistakable vision of femininity with a bold new dramatic spirit. Flowing goddess gowns in soft pastel tones reflected the house’s timeless elegance, while sumptuous wine-red velvet ballgowns and sculptural black column dresses projected confidence and power.

Embellished corsets, sweeping trains and impeccably tailored tuxedos for both women and men introduced a modern sense of strength, while elaborate masks and sculpted headpieces transformed each look into a living work of art. The collection culminated in a breathtaking bridal finale. Featuring an iridescent sculpted bodice and voluminous layers of champagne, crystal and pale gold, the bride radiated mystery and light in equal measure.

Blurring the boundaries between reality and fantasy, The Ball of Untamed Dreams showcased Elie Saab at its most imaginative, celebrating couture as an art form capable of transforming not only the body, but the imagination itself.
