Gucci is pleased to announce that it has dressed the character of Bruce Wayne, played by Oscar winner Ben Affleck (Argo), in director Zack Snyder’s forthcoming film, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Affleck stars as Batman/Bruce Wayne while Henry Cavill (Man of Steel) stars as Superman/Clark Kent in the characters’ first-ever big-screen pairing, from Warner Bros. Pictures, which opens in cinemas around the world from 25th March 2016.
Working with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice costume designer Michael Wilkinson, with whom the House collaborated on American Hustle, Gucci has created an exclusive made-to-measure wardrobe for Bruce Wayne. Comprising suiting, shirts, ties, pocket squares, shoes, belts, coats and a leather jacket, the look is completed by a series of accessories, including sunglasses especially developed for the character, and collar bars, tie bars and cufflinks, some personalised with the initials ‘BW’.
Together, Gucci and Wilkinson have dressed Bruce Wayne in a smart, contemporary style, as befits his status as Gotham City’s famous billionaire industrialist/philanthropist.
Actor, Ben Affleck also wore Gucci at the New York premier of the film. He wore a made-to-measure dark green peak lapel three piece Marseille suit with pale blue dress shirt, navy blue cashmere tie and dark brown leather lace ups.
