Puffy Sleeves

The spring 2016 runway witnessed many bold statements such as daring necklines, striking colours and patterns and oversized jewellery. Bold shoulders were another sartorial trend to feature heavily, with puffy sleeves becoming the focus. We have picked our favourite puffy sleeved looks to make the perfect fashion statement:

Roksanda – As seen on the runway, this bold, satin piece creates the perfect silhouette and features gathered bell sleeves. Combine two trends in one with puffy sleeves and bold stripes.

Isa Arfen – This black and white micro-checked cotton-blend top creates a sculptural silhouette with gathered shoulders and a plunging neckline, and finished with a ruffled peplum in contrasting checked silk. Team this with a pair of slim black trousers and some colourful heels for a sophisticated and contemporary finish.

Rosie Assoulin – The classic shirt dress has had an exaggerated make over, with oversized, ruffled sleeves becoming the focal point. A drawstring waist belt ties in the dress to temper the loose fit. This dress would go perfectly with a pair of metallic sandals.

Fendi – Fendi’s khaki green blouse features a voluminous design. Fitted at the waist and at the cuffs, allowing the sleeves to bellow for that statement sleeve look.

JW Anderson – Following the on-trend off-the-shoulder silhouette, this crisp, striped shirt also features puffy sleeves and would go perfect with denim jeans and heels.

Junya Watanabe – For the perfect relaxed, summer look with a subtle puffy sleeve, this multicoloured linen shirt is the perfect choice.

Zimmermann – Also seen on the runway, this dramatic and romantic piece features ruffles and lace panels with exaggerated sleeves. Team this with some statement earrings and a pair of killer heels.
