Rami Kadi makes a bright and shiny debut to the Haute Couture calendar with SS19 collection inspired by the Burning Man festival.

Model Coco Rocha set the tone as she opened the show with a mini strapless rainbow print dress complete with a tinsel-like fringing on the skirt.

The Lebanese designer then sent out a series of pieces showcasing his favourite kind of craftsmanship – asymmetrical embroidery with laser-cut mirrors, sequins and beading.

Backstage, Kadi spoke of his excitement to show the collection that was very him and very shiny, and that is exactly what he delivered. Our highlights include the asymmetrical one-shoulder dress in ombré copper shades that hugged the body, and a very high-fashion take on a safari jacket paired with matching cycle shorts embellished with sequins.

From cocktail silhouettes to a dramatic wedding gown, the pieces reflected his design aesthetic to the finest thread and for a first runway show at couture, he has a lot to be proud of.
