As Copenhagen’s influence on the international fashion calendar continues to grow, these are the Scandinavian brands that captured our attention for Spring/Summer 2027.
Copenhagen Fashion Week has just wrapped its Spring/Summer 2027 season, bringing established Nordic names, emerging designers and international guests to the Danish capital.
Coinciding with the event’s 20th anniversary, this season reflected just how significantly Copenhagen’s position has evolved. Once viewed as a smaller counterpart to the four traditional fashion capitals, it has developed into an important destination for buyers, editors and creatives seeking fresh ideas, wearable design and a more individual approach to style.
For Spring/Summer 2027, the official programme featured 34 shows and presentations, including returning Scandinavian labels, new talent and New York brand Collina Strada as its international guest.
From countryside romance and after-dark dressing to sporty layers and playful interpretations of wardrobe staples, these are the brands we recommend having on your radar.
Gestuz
Founded by Sanne Sehested in 2008, Gestuz combines vintage references with the attitude of rock ’n’ roll and an emphasis on clothes that express rather than overshadow the wearer. For Spring/Summer 2027, the brand balanced animal prints and sporty silhouettes with more versatile wardrobe pieces.
Baum und Pferdgarten
Baum und Pferdgarten has become one of Copenhagen Fashion Week’s most anticipated shows, thanks to its bold interpretation of Scandinavian style. Rather than adhering to the region’s minimalist stereotype, the brand embraces colour, pattern and unexpected combinations. Its Spring/Summer 2027 collection, titled After the Rehearsal, brought together deer-print capri trousers, technical anoraks and retro leg warmers. It was maximalist, energetic and characteristically unconventional.
MKDT Studio
MKDT Studio takes a refined wardrobe and introduces details that completely alter its mood. Founded in 2014, the Copenhagen label is known for confident tailoring and elevated essentials, but its appeal often lies in the more playful touches. For Spring/Summer 2027, sheer layering, fringe-trimmed scarves, feathered T-shirts and translucent totes brought movement and personality to otherwise familiar forms. It offered a reminder that practical clothing need not feel restrained.
Skall Studio
Skall Studio looked to rural life for a collection filled with ease and gentle nostalgia. Pilgrim-style tops, voluminous skirts and natural textures appeared alongside raffia hats and baskets filled with fresh produce, creating a romantic vision of life beyond the city. Yet beneath the styling were highly wearable pieces with the understated elegance for which the label has become known.

The collection retained the confidence and polish associated with the brand while introducing a darker, more seductive mood for Spring/Summer 2027.

The Garment continued to refine its contemporary interpretation of understated femininity. Pyjama-inspired dressing, pale colours and fluid fringe gave the Spring/Summer 2027 collection an elegant sense of ease. Many of its strongest looks also felt connected to pieces already gaining momentum, suggesting that soft tailoring and relaxed separates will continue into next year.
