After experiencing unprecedented success in 2016, Dubai Watch Week has announced that it will return for its third consecutive year.
This unique event will be held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice Chairman of Dubai Culture & Arts Authority and in association with Fondation de Haute Horlogerie (FHH). In November 2017, Dubai Watch Week, the largest international gathering devoted to horological knowledge exchange, will prepare to welcome thousands of visitors including more than 60 brands and legends of the industry.
The event will strive to be bigger and better than the 2016 edition under the theme ‘Classic and Contemporary.’ It will explore the evolution of watch-making, bringing the industry’s rich heritage to the fore as well as championing innovation and creativity to connect the past to the present. Also, this year Dubai Watch Week plans to add more masterclasses, creative hubs and discussion panels to the agenda to really help elevate the experience for attendees. Watchmaking masterclasses, exclusive VIP events and talks with some of the watch world’s most eminent personalities are sure to help bring the fascinating world of watches to life.
Melika Yazdjerdi, Director of Dubai Watch Week and Senior Marketing & Communication Director expressed his excitement at the prospect of the 2017 event, saying that ‘following on from its phenomenal success last year, we are delighted to be hosting Dubai Watch Week for its third edition. This is a one-of-kind platform that promotes the sharing of information – everything from the individual stories behind each brand including technical movements, materials, and mechanisms to consumer trends and the future of watchmaking.
