The Bvlgari Resort Dubai welcomes an exclusive 9-seat fine dining on property, named Hōseki- meaning “gemstone” in Japanese.
The new restaurant is led by Japanese chef Masahiro Sugiyama who follows the true cultural Japanese traditions, and offers a two hour Omakase experience.
The guests are welcomed in a typical Japanese reception area called Tokonoma – a designated space to receive guests in a traditional-looking house featuring Bonsai plants and power stones. Afterwards, the Japanese hostesses dressed in kimonos, guide the guest to a Japanese style open counter.
Omakase is the one of the most traditional way to enjoy Japanese food. With over 157 years of family sushi traditions, chef Sugiyama is the sixth generation sushi expert in Tokyo.
Located on the 4th floor of the hotel, the restaurant is open for lunch and dinner five days a week and closes on Sunday and Monday. Reservations is a must as there is no walk-in policy.
