Hong Kong, already a futuristic city, is taking things one step further this month by hosting the Nightscape exhibition, which considers what after dark skylines will look like in 2050.

At ArtisTree visitors can experience five rooms which are lit and geared up to show different interpretations of the city’s future – the ‘light journey’ takes you from the city’s past to its future, and tackles ideas of how the metropolis will light its way.
If that’s put you in the mood for all things light fantastic, take in the daily light laser show at Victoria Harbour which uses the iconic skyscrapers as a stage for one of the most impressive light shows around. It happens at 8pm every day for 15 minutes.
Alternatively you could take in the light show from the 27th floor suite in Hotel Icon, which has been designed by international fashion designer Vivienne Tam and features traditional Chinese furniture in a modern setting. The hotel is also home to an interior 18 metre living wall (Asia’s largest vertical garden) by Patrick Blanc.
