Michelin Acclaimed Chef Ugo Alciati To Head To Dubai For One Night Only

 L’Amo Bistro del Mare’s Chef Alfredo Albergatore is joining forces with Chef Ugo Alciati from the renowned Guido Ristorante in Langhe, Piedmont this April.

This exclusive collaborative event will allow diners to experience one of Italy’s most illustrious culinary legends for one night only in Dubai, on the 18th of April.

In addition to the exclusive 4-hand dinner with Chef Alfredo Albergatore, the will also be a selection of dishes specially created by Chef Ugo available on the L’Amo a la carte menu in the run-up to the big night, on the 17th of April. 

Chef Ugo Alciati is a renowned Michelin-starred chef and owner of Guido Ristorante, known for its exceptional Italian cuisine and picturesque location in the heart of Langhe, Piedmont. Inspired by his family’s rich culinary heritage, Ugo has been immersed in the world of fine dining since childhood. 

The Alciati family’s iconic restaurant, Guido, played a pivotal role in shaping modern Italian fine dining and has been a trailblazer in the field since its establishment in 1960, earning its first Michelin star in 1974, followed by a second in 1976. 

The menu will showcase six expertly crafted courses by both chefs, highlighting the best of Northern and Southern Italian cuisine focusing on fresh seafood and specially imported ingredients. Chef Ugo’s personal repertoire will bring forth the rich flavours of Langhe and Piedmont. 

Featured dishes include Zesty Red Prawns with Nduja Elegance (Carpaccio of red prawns with a bold kick of Nduja oil), Agnolotti del Plin al Sugo d’Arrosto (Piedmont speciality – pasta filled with a roasted meat sauce), Faraona con Salsa al Marsala, Pan Brioche e Pate di Fegatini (Guinea fowl with Marsala sauce, brioche bread and liver pate), Filetto di Rombo alla Mugnaia la Sua Costoletta Fritta e Carciofi (a two-part dish of ‘Mugnaia-style’ turbot fillet cooked in clarified butter and parsley sauce plus crispy fried turbot served with artichokes). Diners can book their seat for AED 800 per person (includes drinks pairing) with 7 pm seatings available (limited availability). 

Collaborating with L’Amo Bistro del Mare’s exclusive 4-Hands Dinner, the renowned Italian winery Fontanafredda will provide its exceptional wines for a curated pairing. Showcasing Langhe’s finest culinary and viticultural traditions across 120 hectares of organic vineyards, Fontanafredda epitomizes Italian artisanship and reverence for the land by producing exceptional wines from top-quality grapes that reflect the unique terroir of the region. Look forward to savouring iconic wines like Barolo Serralunga d’Alba and Vigna La Villa, thoughtfully complementing the culinary creations of Chef Ugo Alciati and Chef Alfredo.
