What’s your morning routine before work?

On a week day I wake at 7:00 a.m. and drop my children at school, then I head to Jumeirah beach for a jog or walk – depending on how the previous night went.

How do you decide what to wear in the morning?

I spend my whole day in chef’s whites, so it’s not really something I think too much about. As long as I have colourful socks I’m good to go.

Three items you can’t live without?

Tea, white wine and the iPad.

Favourite place you like to go to in Dubai?

Lock, Stock and Barrel is amazing, and the band is fantastic. Fibbers and The Irish Village is also good. I am not one for fancy bars.

What did you do last night?

I went to Rüya Dubai. It’s the same thing I’ve done every night for a month – at least I’m consistent.

Complete the sentence: My perfect holiday would be…

Exploring an interesting, historic city. I’m one of those people who love history. Museums along with great food are a must; I’m not one for lying on a beach.

What book are you reading at the moment?

Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind by Yuval Noah Harari.

Tell us a fact about you that nobody knows.

I’m a member of Sons of the Desert – The International Laurel & Hardy Society. I’m about four films shy of owning everything they have ever made.

Your favourite designer at the moment?

I don’t have a favourite designer, but I wear Fred Perry and Ben Sherman.

Your current style inspiration?

1960s scooter boy.

Who would you like to be stuck on a desert island with?

Apart from my family or a boat builder, I would probably choose somebody to make me laugh like Stan Laurel, Spike Milligan or the Monty Python team.

Three things you hate?

Brexit, Tottenham Hotsper (British football team) and coffee.

What’s your personal motto?

Carpe Diem.

How do you want the world to remember you?

As a hard working friend who liked nothing more than a good laugh.
