A new eco-luxury property has arrived in the region. The Hawar Resort by Mantis opened in Bahrain this week, with bookings available from the 29th of January.

The resort was unveiled in a grand ceremony officiated by His Royal Highness Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, President of the Supreme Council for the Environment. Situated on the UNESCO-recognised Hawar Island, just 20 kilometres from Bahrain’s mainland, the unique location harmoniously blends sustainability, heritage, and modern luxury.

The new hotel includes 104 exquisitely designed suites and rooms ranging from overwater villas to beachfront suites equipped with private pools.

From the tranquil beachfront spa to the adventurous Bear Grylls Adventure Zone, the property promises to cater to every guest’s taste.

Foodies can indulge in the offerings of five distinct dining outlets, including C-Salt, renowned for its seasonal pop-ups and appearances by celebrity chefs.

Speaking at the inauguration, Andre Erasmus, General Manager of the resort, shared his enthusiasm: “Hawar Resort by Mantis embodies the spirit of Bahrain – a land where tradition and innovation coexist. Our aim is to create a destination that not only celebrates the natural and cultural heritage of this stunning island but also secures its beauty for future generations.”
