After five years in the role, Tod’s Creative Director Andrea Incontri has announced his departure from the label.
Andrea Incontri shared a heartfelt message on Instagram about his departure from Tod'x
In a statement, Andrea Incontri confirmed the news that he will no longer serve as Creative Director for the Italian shoemakers and fashion house.
Incontri, who will hold his position in the company until the end of June 2019, stated: “It’s been an honour for me to be a part of this great family. Tod’s has been a school and an important experience in my developments. I thank Diego and Andrea Della Valle for the support and enthusiasm they’ve always given me.”
While over on Instagram, he elaborated: “In 2013 I started my collaboration on the Tod’s menswear collections. In June 2014 I became a creative director for men. They have been years of teaching, commitment, discipline. I built an uphill route thanks to all the wonderful people I worked with. I owe a lot to them because it was thanks to them that I succeeded: to respect the values of a great Italian brand. Thanks to Diego and Andrea for the chance I was given!”
After creating his eponymous label in 2009, Incontri joined the now century-old label in 2013. One year later he took up the position of Creative Director.
On his departure, Diego Della Valle – Group Chairman, CEO and grandson of Tod’s Founder Filippo Della Valle – said: “I’d like to thank Andrea for the contribution to Tod’s Men’s Collections over the years.”
No news of who will take on the position of what Incontro will take on next has yet been revealed.
