The citywide design platform will bring exhibitions, conversations and rarely seen heritage sites to locations across the Lebanese capital.
We Design Beirut will return for its third edition from May 26 to 30, 2027, presenting five days of design, dialogue and discovery across the Lebanese capital.
Launched as a platform for design, culture and craftsmanship, the event brings together established names, emerging talent, artisans, architects and creative thinkers. Rather than unfolding within a conventional fair setting, its exhibitions and programmes inhabit significant buildings across Beirut, allowing design to enter into conversation with the city’s architecture, history and cultural memory.
Edition 03 is titled Love on the Mediterranean, reflecting Lebanon’s enduring relationship with the sea and its influence on how the country builds, trades, imagines and creates. The theme will explore ideas of exchange, openness and shared identity across the Mediterranean.
The 2027 programme will feature eight exhibitions alongside panel discussions, curator-led tours and access to heritage sites, including several opening their doors to the public for the first time. Together, these elements will offer visitors an immersive view of Beirut’s evolving design scene while drawing attention to the importance of protecting its architectural legacy.
An open call is currently inviting emerging designers in Lebanon to create a contemporary object inspired by mouneh, the regional tradition of preserving food for the seasons ahead. Applications close on August 15, 2026.
