LOEWE Perfumes has expanded its Home Scents collection with Banoffee, a new scented candle inspired by the classic British dessert.
Drawing on the combination of banana, toffee and whipped cream that defines banoffee pie, the fragrance takes its inspiration from the pudding first created in the early 1970s at The Hungry Monk restaurant in East Sussex. The candle captures the dessert’s signature pairing of tropical fruit and caramelised sugar, built around a rich banana amber accord.
The fragrance develops as the candle burns, shifting from soft, fruity notes of ripe banana when unlit to a deeper, flambéed character once lit. The addition reflects the collection’s broader exploration of botanical notes and evocative scents, translating familiar ingredients into fragrances for the home.
Crafted from natural wax, the Banoffee candle is presented in a new midi size. Its vessel features an ombré glaze in warm caramel tones, with an Anagram-stamped base that reflects LOEWE’s distinctive design language.
With its gourmand profile and dessert-inspired composition, Banoffee brings a warming, sweetly layered addition to the Spanish luxury house’s home fragrance offering, drawing on the sensory associations of a familiar British favourite.
