Fragrances are designed to evoke emotions and memories, so choosing the perfect scent for your special day can be one of the most important beauty decisions you could make.
When it comes to British Royal wedding traditions, a scent of orange blossom has been used since Queen Victoria who loved the flower. Kate Middleton reportedly chose Jo Malone Orange Blossom on her big day in 2011, and now Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have an official wedding perfume being created by royal-warrant holder Floris London. It said to be inspired by the brand’s Bergamotto di Positano fragrance, which has notes of orange blossom, bergamot, mandarin and vanilla.
When picking the right scent for you consider how you want to feel and analyse your current tastes. The time of year can also influences your choice, but don’t be afraid to try something new. Our top tip is to create your own bespoke fragrance by layering a number of perfumes. To enhance the scent, apply body cream with the same key notes, spray the perfume on pulse points and just before stepping out of the door, create a veil of fragrance to walk through.
In the gallery above, we have selected out favourite fragrances that would be ideal for a spring wedding many of which contain the Royally approved orange blossom.
