American humanitarian, filmmaker and actress Angelina Jolie is set to add another string to her bow, with the launch of her new company, called Atelier Jolie.

Discussing the launch on her new online platform, Jolie said that the new company will connect customers directly to emerging designers and master artisans, so that individuals can design their own clothes.
Jolie said she wants to join those who are “democratising the fashion industry”, and will also support the process with sustainable resources, “making use of curated dead stock and vintage materials to create one-of-a-kind pieces that embody personal creativity and purpose.”
In a statement on the new launch, Jolie posed the question: “Everyone can create. Why then do we covet designer labels? Why simply buy the design of another person, when you can create yourself?”
“I am building a place for creative people to collaborate with a skilled and diverse family of expert tailors, pattern makers and artisans from around the world. A place to have fun. To create your own designs with freedom,” she continued.
According to the Atelier Jolie Instagram page, the new company will officially launch in Autumn 2023.
