The era of barely-there jewellery is losing some of its grip.

FW26 necklaces are big, colourful and designed to be noticed from across the room.

Oversized beads, sculptural chains and collar-style necklaces appeared throughout the collections, continuing fashion’s wider move towards accessories with genuine personality.

Their appeal lies in their simplicity. Unlike some of the season’s more complicated trends, statement jewellery requires virtually no styling expertise.
