Roger Vivier has announced the award-winning Chinese actress Xin Zhilei as the brand’s newest ambassador.
The house said the appointment would “broaden the maison’s enduring connection with the world of international cinema.”
Roger Vivier has a long-standing history of engaging with stars of the silver screen to interpret the brand’s creative works, including iconic moments with Marlene Dietrich wearing the Jewel Heel, Catherine Deneuve in the Belle Viviers, and Brigitte Bardot riding a Harley Davidson in the Maison’s cuissardes.
Recent film collaborations have featured Laura Dern, Isabella Rossellini, Isabelle Huppert, Christina Ricci, and Susan Sarandon.
Discussing her new role, Zhilei said “I am deeply honoured to be a brand ambassador for Roger Vivier. I greatly admire Roger Vivier’s French aesthetics and Gherardo Felloni’s avant-garde designs. I look forward to opening more chapters of romanticism and beauty with the Maison.”
Meanwhile, Roger Vivier’s Creative Director Gherardo Felloni added: “This is a significant and meaningful collaboration with Xin Zhilei. As an actress, she expresses a unique tension for the camera, reflecting not only extreme charm in appearance but also inner empowerment.”
