Maxi and midi pleated skirts have been key this summer and it looks like they are a pretty big hit with the pre-fall collections too. Designers have made a plethora of styles and prints to choose from. We love the graphic prints, metallic sheens and intricate details. Team them with everything from high-neck tops, varsity-style jackets, shirts to crop tops or anything off-the-shoulder. They even look great with a basic sweater or a statement knit.

CHRISTOPHER KANE – Studded pleated satin skirt is punctuated with neon accents. There are glossy studs that frame and streamline. Wear it with a punchy neon top, flats or heels.

VICTORIA BECKHAM – Pleated printed crepe de chine midi skirt has printed matchsticks that are a key motif from the pre-fall ’16 collection. It has waist-defining sunray pleats for fluidity and movement. It looks particularly chic styled with a black bodysuit and loafers.

GUCCI – A statement silver midi skirt made with high-shine leather. It has an A-line silhouette and is finished with defined pleats that move elegantly as you walk. Wear it with a sweater, varsity jacket and trainers.

ADAM LIPPES – This floral leather and silk-chiffon skirt is printed with white dahlias taken from a photograph of a bouquet designed by Miho Kosuda. This pleated style is made from panels of silk-chiffon and supple leather for rippling movement. Wear it with an off-the shoulder top.

JIL SANDER – Biglia graphic-print midi skirt is timelessly flattering. It sits high on the waist, and falls in loose pleats to the mid-calf. Team it with a feminine white shirt and loafers or white trainers.
