Pink is back, but FW26’s version is considerably louder than the dusty millennial shades that dominated the late 2010s.

Balenciaga, Erdem and Michael Kors all embraced saturated fuchsia, bubblegum and unapologetically bright pink, often worn from head to toe.

Its resurgence makes sense within fashion’s wider move away from restraint.

After years dominated by beige, burgundy, chocolate and black, pink feels optimistic, emotional and deliberately attention-seeking.

There is power in that visibility, too.

A colour traditionally associated with femininity becomes something altogether more assertive when rendered in an impossible-to-ignore shade.
