Shopping multiple brands all at once that will make your conscience feel as good as your closet will look is about to become a lot easier thanks to Net-A–Porter’s new platform, Net Sustain.
More and more fashion houses are striving towards making more sustainable choices. Take Ralph Lauren re-inventing their classic polo using recycled plastic bottles, Prada launching a fine jewellery collection made using sustainable materials or Versace pledging to go fur-free…
But the problem remains shopping all these brands – and the items within certain labels that are eco-friendly – all in one place. Thanks to Net-A-Porter’s new platform, Net Sustain, this should no longer be a pressing concern for those seeking a little luxury with minimal negative environmental impact.
The new platform will aim to highlight and celebrate brands that are sold on Net-A-Porter that adhere to the company’s criteria for sustainability, offering customers a way to identify those brands and products more easily. To begin, 26 brands will feature and a combined total of 500 products, and expect exclusive capsules from Stella McCartney, Mother of Pearl x BBC Earth and Maggie Marilyn and seasonal and core styles from the likes of Ninety Percent, Fisch, Lem Lem, Peony, Veja, Hereu, Nannacay, and Chopard.
Global Buying Director Elizabeth von der Goltz said: “This is an important milestone in our sustainability journey at NET-A-PORTER. We have always wanted to provide our customer with the best products and allow them to make informed choices when shopping on the site. Our sustainable edit provides our customers with the knowledge they need, understanding that they can trust that these brands have been carefully reviewed and meet our criteria for inclusion.
“Our aim is to give a voice to the brands that are truly making positive changes by providing them with a platform to highlight their best practice.”
