Reem Acra is known for bridal and red-carpet gowns, which were most definitely present in the Resort 2018 collection. However, there were also separates present here; more commercial and wide-appeal pieces that could both work as cocktail pieces or more casually.
The signature dresses were not neglected and were pitched just right for their Resort timing. The colour combinations of green, pink and red offered a refreshing pop. Over-sized bows and mega embellishments upped the impact of jumpsuits and lace dresses. Also, the range notably offered more coverage than usual, with nude illusion necklines, lots of lace, and dresses that looked one shoulder, for example, but had white fabric layered underneath to actually make a shift dress. Surely a savvy move with the current trend towards the modest fashion market.
