Saiid Kobeisy looks to the energy, colour and movement of an endless summer for Spring/Summer 2027, with “BAHIA Somewhere Else” bringing a sense of tropical vibrancy to the Lebanese designer’s signature couture-informed aesthetic.
The collection balances vivid tropical shades with sun-washed neutrals, using colour as a defining element across a wardrobe designed to move between day and evening. Sculptural dresses sit alongside printed chiffon, elevated separates and precise tailoring, while bias-cut silhouettes, fluid draping and voluminous maxi skirts introduce movement and softness.
“With this collection, I wanted to capture summer at its most vibrant – when color feels alive, silhouettes move with freedom, and a woman reveals a different confidence in the way she dresses,” says Kobeisy. “There is joy in it, but also strength, precision, and intention.”
That contrast between ease and structure runs throughout the collection. Draped fabrics follow the body with natural fluidity, while sculpted forms and controlled proportions provide definition. The result is a wardrobe that combines relaxed summer dressing with the technical precision associated with the House.
Craftsmanship is particularly tactile this season. Laser-cut leather appliqués reinterpret tropical forms in graphic shapes, while intricate beadwork references the movement of ocean waves and traces of sea foam. Shimmering embellishments add further texture and luminosity, catching the light as the garments move.
Movement is equally central to the collection’s visual language, with fluid fabrics and generous volumes giving the silhouettes a sense of freedom. Alongside the flowing pieces, more precise tailoring and sculptural forms create a dialogue between softness and structure.
The accompanying campaign, BAHIA – Somewhere Else, shifts the collection’s setting from its imagined tropical world to Lebanon. Invited by Saiid Kobeisy to explore the country, BAHIA encounters its streets, people, rituals and everyday moments, placing the collection within a setting defined by individuality and contrast.
The campaign explores the idea of unfamiliarity becoming familiarity, with Lebanon providing a backdrop through which the collection’s themes of connection and discovery are expressed.
At the centre of BAHIA Somewhere Else is a woman who dresses with instinct and intention: confident in her femininity and expressive in her choices, with a wardrobe designed to move as freely as she does. For Spring/Summer 2027, Kobeisy frames summer not simply as a destination, but as a feeling shaped by colour, movement and the freedom to inhabit somewhere else.
