Giorgio Armani presented his Fall/Winter Armani Privé Haute Couture collection “Shine” in Paris on 6th July 2021.

Using carefully selected, hand-painted fabrics that flow almost like liquid, the designer created a sense of luminosity as models glided down the runway at the Italian Embassy.

Satins and silks we interwoven with ultra-fine metallic thread, while light fabrics used on evening gowns seem to almost float as they caught the air. Embroideries sparkled and created a sense of magic, almost like a beautiful garden on a summer’s day.

A soft sense of femininity surrounds outfits composed of long skirts and short bodices, juxtaposed with masculinity from the classic Armani pinstripes.

The colour palette features soft pastel tones with a hint of statement colours including jade green, indigo and pomegranate pink which add some vibrancy.

Footwear came in the form of nude-toned sock boots studded with crystals, low and elongated shoes, fabric ballet flats and pumps with ultra-slim heels. Small clutches were covered with stones for an extra touch of sparkle and other bags were made from feathers, continuing the theme of weightlessness.

In a first for the brand, the iconic design has included some pieces from the previous Haute Couture season with a message of how Haute Couture can transcend seasons.

This collection is both timeless and modern, transcending trends and stereotypes to create something that is desired by women of all generations.
