Prada collaborates with artist Cassius Hirst in its latest America’s Cup sneaker capsule collection.

In a unique project with Prada Linea Rossa, artist Cassius Hirst, known as Cass, collaborates to reinvent the America’s Cup sneaker across a full range of special pieces in a rework of the 20th century design classic for a 21st century generation.

Cassius Hirst painted his first pair of sneakers when he was 14 as a gift for his father; legendary artist Damien Hirst. Growing up in a household where exposure to art was inevitable, sneakers became his canvas. His work has gathered the attention of celebrities such as A$AP Rocky & Rihanna, as no two pairs are the same. His hand-sprayed painting technique ensures each pair is a unique work of art.

The sneakers are designed in four different styles, with 22 varying designs. Each style draws its name from the world of music, reflective of the interests of Cassius and the passions of his fans; ATT4CK, D3CAY, SUST4IN, REL3ASE.

The capsule is showcased in a still and motion-image campaign by Axel Morin. The surreal performance invades a pristine space as each character wears the sneakers, paired with one-of-a-kind coordinated masks. The soundtrack to this unique artistic campaign features a soundtrack that was also specially created by Cass.

All styles are hand-worked in Italy by Prada in a meshing of traditional craft and cutting-edge imagination, following Cass’s style, no two pairs exactly alike. The bespoke sneakers are each labelled with a distinct Cass signature and sold in a co-branded Prada box.

The Cass x Prada collection is an edition limited to 3,000 pairs globally, on sale now through a selection of Prada boutiques and via prada.com.
