A. Lange & Söhne takes the top rank among Germany’s 30 leading luxury brands in 2016. With 247 out of 300 points, A. Lange & Söhne achieved the best result in the current luxury brand ranking organised by Wirtschaftswoche, a weekly German business magazine. The Saxon manufactory has therefore safeguarded its leading position in the premium segment since 2007, ahead of all other German automobile, furniture, watch, jewellery and fashion brands. The result was published in the magazine’s thirteenth issue in March.
The ranking is commissioned by Wirtschaftswoche every two years and compiled by Markenberatung Biesalski & Company as well as brandnetworks, a brand evaluator. It is based on a survey of more than 180 industry experts and polls four criteria: reputation, quality, design and price positioning.
Lange CEO Wilhelm Schmid said: “Our ambitious goal is unchanged: A. Lange & Söhne strives to build the world’s finest watches. With creative ideas and qualified staff members, as well as high standards in craftsmanship and technology, we will continue to make mechanical wristwatches coveted possessions. The result of the survey reasserts our lofty aspirations and is an incentive for the future.”
