There are just a few stars who can transform a designer’s career with just one appearance and Beyonce is certainly one of them.  Italian couturier Francesco Scognamiglio tweeted in excitement: “Beyonce loves me,” after the star wore his sensational gown from his fall 2016 couture collection. She looked radiant in pastel blue feathers (that looked like angel wings) and matching Swarovski crystals at the VMA’s last night.

The Neapolitan couturier actually worked with Beyonce before. He designed her eye-catching outfits for the “Formation” tour concert in Milan. Scognamiglio told WWD he “wanted to interpret the energy, femininity and talent of a real style icon through my personal point of view with the goal of creating an unforgettable look.”

Before launching his eponymous couture label in 2000 (ready-to-wear launched in 2001), he spent much of the ‘90s working with Versace. He was also creative director of Verri, launching the brand’s first womenswear collection, and held the same position at Allegri for three seasons.

However, Scognamiglio only debuted his first haute couture collection in Paris earlier this summer. The collection consisted of 19 looks highlighting tulle, ostrich feathers, ruffles and sequins. All were long-sleeved, except for one.

But Queen Bee isn’t the only A-lister to wear his designs; Madonna, Lady Gaga and Rihanna are also fans. Madonna wore a sheer black lace gown of his to the 2011Vanity Fair Oscar Party. Lady Gaga, meanwhile, donned several of his confections in her video for the song “Alejandro.” We look forward to seeing more red carpet glamour from the talented designer.
