Art Dubai, the premier art fair of the Middle East, has unveiled an impressive line-up of over 100 galleries for its 2025 edition.
Scheduled to take place from the 18th to the 20th of April, with previews on the 16th and 17th, the fair will once again be hosted at the stunning Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai.
Showcasing art from over 50 cities, Art Dubai 2025 continues its mission to highlight lesser-represented geographies. This year’s programme promises a dynamic mix of contemporary works, modern masterpieces, and cutting-edge digital art, curated by leading international figures. With 20 first-time exhibitors, including prominent names such as Bortolami (New York) and Mizuma Art Gallery (Tokyo), the event signals a growing global interest in Dubai’s art scene.
Art Dubai’s Artistic Director, Pablo del Val, emphasised the fair’s role as a hub for artistic exchange, saying “Our 2025 galleries fully reflect the dynamism of Dubai and the rich mix of communities who call it home. Art Dubai remains a place for discovery, demonstrating the growing interest in this region’s art scene.”
The fair’s four key sections for 2025 are:
- Contemporary: Featuring 70 exhibitors from five continents, this section remains the heart of the fair, spotlighting works from under-represented regions.
- Bawwaba (Gateway): Curated by Mirjam Varadinis, this section will present solo showcases exploring themes of displacement and coexistence. Highlights include works by Kate Newby and Tomás Saraceno.
- Modern: A curated exploration of 20th-century masters, Art Dubai Modern bridges histories across West Asia, North Africa, and, for the first time, Latin America.
- Digital: The fourth edition of Art Dubai Digital, curated by Gonzalo Herrero Delicado, will investigate the intersection of art and technology, with presentations on AI, robotics, and more.
Beyond the exhibitions, Art Dubai underpins the UAE’s growing reputation as a global cultural centre. Supported by key partners, including A.R.M. Holding and Dubai Culture, the event also engages in long-term cultural initiatives like the Dubai Collection and Campus Art Dubai.
Art Dubai’s strategic partnerships and the city’s position as a global financial hub have cemented its importance on the international stage. This year’s expanded focus on digital innovation and global connections reflects Dubai’s growing influence in the art world.
