During Paris Fashion Week there is plenty to do and see in the city outside of the runway shows.
Here are five of the best fashion exhibits to visit now.
Maison Européenne de la Photographie
Penn & Fashion opens on the 30th of September, examining Irving Penn’s relationship with fashion photography.
Fondation Azzedine Alaïa
Alaïa’s former home and studio in the Marais, with his archives and collections. Its current Azzedine Alaïa and Africa exhibition runs through to January 2027.
Musée des Arts Décoratifs
Two exhibitions start this week, ‘Look: 40 Years of Fashion at the Museum’ (from the 30th of September) and ‘Rafael Pavarotti, Photographer’ (from the 2nd of October).
Galerie Dior
The Dior heritage space on Avenue Montaigne, with couture, sketches, accessories and the history of the house.
Palais Galliera
Paris’s dedicated fashion museum. During PFW, you can see ‘Weaving, Embroidering, Embellishing’ and the newly opened ‘A Wardrobe of One’s Own’, focused on 19th-century women appropriating traditionally masculine dress.
