This year, Zenith and Land Rover are celebrating their creative relationship by presenting the Chronomaster El Primero Range Rover Velar Special Edition, which was launched at the Geneva Motor Show in January (to read more about this click here).
Now, the new Chronomaster has now made its debut in the Middle East where it was unveiled at an iconic event in Dubai, as part of a series of international launches.
The International Commercial Director at Zenith, Nicolas Meda, made his way to Dubai to help welcome the Chronomaster El Primero Range Rover Velar Special Edition to the region at H Hotel’s rooftop bar, 40 Kong.
He said of the new piece, ‘Zenith promotes art, tradition, culture and above all, ‘museum quality’ pieces, which is what we are showcasing here today. Our Chronomaster El Primero Range Rover Velar Special Edition unites all those characteristics, and we are happy to present it with our partners with whom we share qualities and passions.’
At the event, an art installation was revealed in honour of the occasion by Beirut-based graffiti artist Eps. The work, named ‘Rhythm and Flow,’ was painted onto canvas and an old Range Rover frame and spoke about venturing undiscovered pathways and searching for new ways to make time and art timeless. The piece of artwork joins a global collection that is set to be auctioned off in late 2017 with all profits donated to charity.
The two companies share similar values and DNA, at the new Chronomaster El Primero Range Rover Velar Special Edition is a celebration of this shared spirit. The timepiece features a new elegant brushed grey dial with copper-toned details, and a new black rubber strap coated with black-toned perforated calfskin, inspired by ideas from both brands’ product design and engineering departments. It is a watch that embraces the heritage of the two brands simultaneously.
