Dubai’s Michelin Star Restaurants Revealed

After months of speculation, Michelin Guide reveals Dubai’s first-ever Michelin Starred restaurant list. We discover who they are and where to find them.

 

An exclusive ceremony took place at the Dubai Opera House on 21st June, where culinary experts from around the world gathered to announce the first-ever Dubai Michelin Starred restaurant list.

 

International Director of the Michelin Guide, Gwendal Poullennic said, “What makes Dubai’s culinary landscape so distinctive is its reflection of the more than 200 nationalities that call the city home, delivering an epicurean kaleidoscope. One thing all the restaurants in this fast-paced dynamic and elegant city have in common is they are brimming with passion and enthusiasm. Today, Dubai is settled as an inspiring gastronomic destination, and we have no doubts that gourmets from all over the world will be seduced by its very unique energy.”

 

This marks a historical moment for Michelin Guide and the Middle East with 69 restaurants in total being celebrated for a range of achievements. Michelin Guide revealed the highest achievements for two 2-Michelin Star restaurants, nine 1-Michelin Stars, 14 Bib Gourmand and one Green Star.

Two Michelin Stars

 

II Ristorante – Niko Romito

Located at the Bulgari Hotel and Resort, this restaurant provides modern Italian dishes with balance, purity and clarity. Flown in from Italy, the restaurant used the highest quality ingredients to create pasta, salad and seafood dishes.

 

 

STAY by Yannick Alléno

Providing a distinctive dining experience, STAY can be found nestled at the end of The Palm West Crescent at the One&Only Hotel. The restaurant offers a selection of modern French cuisine that are sophisticated and skilfully crafted.

 

 

One Michelin Stars

 

11 Woodfire

Akmal Anuar, the Singapore chef-owner, offers a delightful presentation of global cuisines and flavours. Selections of meats and seafood are grilled to perfection that ignites the flavours from within. Find this restaurant located in Jumeirah one.

 

 

Al Muntaha

Located at the very top, on the 27th floor, this romantic fine dining restaurant has one of the most beautiful views in Dubai, with panoramic views across the Arabian Gulf, serving up the finest French and Italian cuisine by acclaimed Chef Saverio Sbaragli.

 

 

Armani Ristorante

It’s no surprise that the global luxury fashion brand and the tallest building in the world have been selected for one of the Michelin Stars awards. Located in the Burj Khalifa and Armani Hotel, the Armani Ristorante provides a delicious selection of Italian cuisine and beautifully decorated dishes.

 

 

Hakkasan

Another iconic locations, Atlantis on The Palm is the location of this next restaurant. Hakkasan serves up reimagined chinese dishes that exclusive to Dubai. This Cantonese restaurant bursts with the flavours of Asia in a modern and cutting-edge twist.

 

 

Hōseki

This is the second restaurant at the Bulgari Hotel and Resort to be awarded a Michelin Star. The restaurant follows the true cultural Japanese traditions, and offers a two hour Omakase experience. What is even more exclusive, is that there are only nine seats available in each sitting and the food is altered depending on the guests that dine, providing a unique experience to all.

 

 

Ossiano

This restaurant has been an iconic location in Dubai for some time now. Providing a taste sensation of flavours, Ossiano is located at Atlantis Hotel on The Palm, and provides breathtaking views of the built in aquarium that lights up the restaurant. Guests can enjoy oceanic flvaours whilst enjoying the tranquility of the marine animals.

 

 

Torno Subito

A colourful twist is added to this list, with Torno Subito offering Italian dishes full of flavour. Located in the ever-so chic W Hotel on The Palm, guests are in for a real treat from acclaimed chef Massimo Bottura. This restaurant has a real element of fun with breathtaking views out across the sea.

 

 

Tresind Studio

For this next restaurant, we travel to India. The restaurant provides an intimate dining experience with an element of drama, as Chef Himanshu Saini provides an evolved take on Indian flavours. The food itself provides a show, with interesting presentations and flavours, this ambitious chef give guests a taste of India that they have never experienced before.

 

 

Tasca by Jose Avillez

The final one Michelin Star restaurant, is not to be missed. Located in the Manderin Oriental Hotel, this restaurant serves up Portugese dishes from an open kitchen. Expect vibrant and innovative food that’s great for sharing, and indulge in some classic Pastel De Nantas.

 

 

Green Star

Lowe

As one of the hardest achievements to earn, the Green Star award recognizes restaurants that take place at the forefront of sustainability. Lowe have been awarded this prestigious recognition due to its locally sourced products and a ‘Waste Not’ approach to its tasting menu. The menu is produced from would-be waste products that have been saved from previous months, and turned into new and exciting dishes.
