How to Watch the Expo 2020 Dubai Opening Ceremony

Tonight Expo 2020 Dubai will begin and you can watch the Opening Ceremony from the comfort of your own home or at hundreds of locations across the UAE.

 

The star-studded event will see international performers coming together at Al Wasl Plaza at the centre of the Expo site for one night only to open the long-awaited global event which will begin in Dubai on October 1st 2021.

 

While the event itself is invite-only UAE and international residents around the world can tune in as the show is streamed live, online.

 

Global viewers can also catch the night’s proceedings via live stream, which will be available on virtualexpo.world and Expo TV from 7.30pm UAE time.

While those in the UAE can attend hundreds of viewing parties that will be taking place across the Emirates. More than 430 locations will be streaming the 90-minute event live through large screens. These include more than 240 hotels including Armani Hotel Dubai, Address Hotels & Resorts, Vida Hotels & Resorts, Atlantis the Palm and more.

 

A selection of Majid Al Futtaim malls will also be screening the show live as well as City Walk, Ibn Batutta Mall and Nakheel Mall.

 

Meanwhile, Emirates Airline will stream the show from its first and business-class lounges, so even if you are in the air you can tune in!

Headline acts include Italian opera singer Andrea Bocelli, British pop star Ellie Goulding, singer and songwriter Andra Day, award-winning Chinese pianist Lang Lang and many more.

 

The UAE’s Expo song “This Is Our Time” by singer Mayssa Karaa, Hussain Al Jassmi and Almas will also be performed live on stage.

 

The event will begin at 7.30pm UAE time on Thursday 30th September 2021.
