Many of the world’s biggest names in music are making their way over to the region over the next six months for one-off performances. Here’s what you need to know:
The 1975
It was recently announced the British band The 1975 will also take the Coca-Cola Arena this summer. The Sound hitmakers, fresh from winning a Brit Awards for British Album in the Year and Best British Group for 2019, will perform for one day only on August 14th. Westlife
Nostalgia is served up this summer in the form of the Irish boyband making their way over to the emirate. As part of their 20th-anniversary tour, they will (also) head to the new arena on August 29th to perform singalong hits such as Flying Without Wings.
Eminem
Twenty-one years after his first single was released, rap artist Eminem is touring once again and is making his way over to the UAE. The Real Slim Shady hitmaker will take to the stage Yas Island’s Du Arena on October 25.
Travis Scott
Hand in hand with the Grand Prix races in Abu Dhabi each November comes the equally anticipated after-race concerts. To date, Travis Scott has been confirmed as the second act to perform over the four-day stint on the 29th. He is known for tracks such as Antidote and Butterfly Effect.
Kylie Minogue
Australian pop icon Kylie Minogue will bring some festive cheer this December by singing at the Sevens Stadium. The Can’t Get You Outta My Head and Lucky singer will perform at the Sevens Stadium on December 5th.
