One&Only Moonlight Basin, the brand’s first resort and private homes in the United States, is now accepting reservations ahead of its opening on 18 November 2025.

Located in Big Sky, Montana, the 240-acre resort sits within an 8,000-acre property near Yellowstone National Park.
In December 2024, the resort unveiled One&Only Sky Lodge, featuring The Landing restaurant and bar, an alpine retail centre, and the One&Only Gondola offering access to Big Sky Resort’s Madison Base.
The base is now home to the Madison 8, a new eight-seat D-line chairlift that doubles uphill capacity and shortens ride times.
The resort will also welcome a new Akira Back restaurant in winter 2025. This marks the first alpine destination for the chef, known for modern Japanese cuisine and with 30 global locations.

Designed by Olson Kundig, the resort offers suites, cabins, and private homes. Guests will have access to six dining venues, outdoor activities year-round, and wellness amenities including a spa and fitness centre.
General Manager Serge Ditesheim, who previously led One&Only Mandarina in Mexico, will oversee the launch. The resort aims to blend luxury hospitality with the natural landscape of Montana.
