Famed British designer, and Kate Middleton’s go-to, Jenny Packham staged a magical bridal show in London for the first time.
Inspired by the thirties, Packham chose the opulent Ritz Hotel near Green Park for her latest presentation and is already planning her next showcase during London Fashion Week in September as a celebration of 30-years in the business.
In true spirit of the label, the dresses were elegant with cleans lines, plenty of delicate lace and flowing skirts. She added a contemporary twist by including a jumpsuit and a robe dress, offering modern brides something fresh and different from traditional dressing. She told WWD:
“Being our 30th year, I wanted to work with my team locally, do something a bit different and keep it lively.”
With the Royal Wedding fast approaching, we are still to learn who will be the designer behind Meghan Markle’s dress. Rumors suggest the likes of Roland Mouret, Erdem and Ralph & Russo, but with Packham’s youthful and forward thinking take on bridal, surely she can throw her hat in the ring?
